Old Black Smith Hammer Restored

I found this old blacksmith hammer about 9 months ago and had some spare time today so I restored it. I used my wire wheel to clean up the head and then carved out the ash handle to fit.  The is no manufacturers mark on it other than a crude S on the side. I think it turned out nice and will put it back into service!  :)

I don't know how old it is really but it's handy. They are used in many shops all over the world, 2.5LB mini sledge. The one place I worked we had a problem with painters and assemblers "borrowing" the hammers from the welders area so the welders welded their initials in the side of the hammer so they could get them back.
