AC System De-install for '81 Volvo 244

The AC compressor and the Power Steering Pump were both shot on the 244 so we spent the weekend taking these components off the car. In sum the total weight removed from the car was over 100 pounds of dead weight!  The compressor was completely seized so it is headed to the scrap yard along with the condenser and AC dryer. I saved and cleaned up the power steering pump and all of the attachment brackets for a future sale.  I learned a lot about the Volvo AC system during the process. Since half the AC lines were missing when I bought the car I did not have to deal with any freon as it was all long gone.  The Volvo will not have AC but we are just going to use the car as a weekend classic cruiser anyways.

One more step completed to get Gramps back on the road!
