Still working on the Hawthorne today. My chore was to tackle the wavy sissy bar! The ends looks as though a gang of airport apes got ahold of it. This bar has seen some action in its day for certain! I can just imagine a past rider grinding it out on a sidewalk curb!!! Or how about someone using the sissy bar as to tow a wagon at high speeds! Those were the days! To fix the wave effect.....I pulled out my top secret weapon...a small piece of 2x6. I know it seems crude but it gets the job done in combination with a rubber mallet hammer! Presto! I got the kinks hammered out and it is installed on the bike! Looking good!
