My New Old 1951 Raleigh Project
Check out my new project which I picked up at the local scrap yard! A 1951 Raleigh! This bike is a major project but this is how I like my bikes...rusty and crusty. I am removing non-functioning parts right now and then I will turn my attention to rust removal. More pictures / info to come.
Update: I have about 4 hours into rust removal on the '51 Raleigh and it is starting to look much better! This bike has great patina! Check out the handle bars...I am about half way there with rust removal. I have also started removing some of the gold paint that someone sprayed on it at some point in the bikes life. Check back for updates...
