Schwinn?? Project Resto

I picked this bike up from a metal scrapper and did it look terrible when I got it. So far I have replaced the seat, handle bars, retaped bars, installed WW2 light, wrapped the triangle frame with leather, removed a lot of rust,
repainted fender tips and also repainted the chain guard. I wish I had taken a before picture of this one as it was in terrible shape! I am not done with this one yet so check back for more updates!

It doesn't have the Schwinn cranks, but definitely a middleweight cruiser from the late 50's/ early 60's by looking at the frame.

It is indeed a mystery...:) I had no real intention of keeping this bike but after I started working on it I thought it was coming together nicely...:) You now the rest of the story.
